The Home Depot will acquire National Waterworks Holdings Inc., a water and wastewater transmission products marketers. National Waterworks will operate as part of The Home Depot Supply. The deal is expected to close by the end of August. Terms were not disclosed.
National Waterworks offers its supplies directly to municipalities and contractors. During 2004, it generated $1.5 billion in sales.
Home Depot recently acquired Utility Supply of America (USABlueBlook). USABlueBook is known for its catalog, which offers maintenance, repair and operations supplies to the water and wastewater treatment industry.
