Golden Gate Capital Inc. has completed its acquisition of Appleseed’s Inc. and Draper’s & Damon’s, two women’s apparel marketer and retailers. Golden Gate also owns Newport News and Spiegel, which also market women’s apparel.
Appleseed’s, which was founded in 1946, will remain in Beverly, MA, and Irvine, CA-based Draper’s & Damon’s will stay in its current location. Both will continue to operate independently.
Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
