July was a good month for The Neiman Marcus Group: The company generated $249 million in revenue, up from $226 million in July 2005. The firm’s comparable revenue rose from $225 million to $242 million during the same period.
Direct sales for July were up 11.5%, with the strongest segments including jewelry, women's apparel, furniture, rugs and men's wear. Comparable retail sales increased by 7.9% during the same period.
For its fiscal fourth quarter, Neiman Marcus reported $915 million in revenue, up from $840 million, and $890 million in comparable revenue, an increase from $835 million. Comparable store revenue rose by 6.6%, while sales at Neiman Marcus Direct rose by 13.2%.
Neiman Marcus reported total fiscal 2006 revenue of $4.11 billion, up from $3.77 billion a year earlier. The company did not break out direct and store revenue for the year.
