Systemax Inc., a computer products manufacturer and distributor, reported $2.7 million in net income, up from $1.9 million in third quarter 2003. The Port Washington, NY-based firm’s sale rose from $405 million to $460.2 million during the same period. The quarter ended Sept. 30.

While Systemax relies on a wide variety of distribution channels, including direct mail catalogs and relationship marketers, its e-commerce efforts shone during the quarter.
“Consolidated e-commerce sales were up 23% from last year’s third quarter and represent 26% of consolidated sales compared to 24% last year,” chairman and CEO Richard Leeds said in a statement.
