Durbin Out, DuBose In as Vertis Chairman and CEO

Michael DuBose has been named chairman and CEO of Vertis Communications, effective immediately.

DuBose replaces Dean Durbin, who had served as CEO since February and president since November 2004. Durbin has resigned from both of those positions, and is expected to provide transition support, according to a statement from Vertis.

DuBose is also assuming the chairman of the board position from Don Roland, who will continue to serve on the Vertis board of directors.

Before joining Vertis, DuBose was senior advisor to Aurora Capital, and chairman of Anthony International. He also served as chairman, CEO and president of Aftermarket Technology. Prior to his time at Aftermarket, he was chairman and CEO of Grimes Aerospace Co.
