The Direct Marketing Association will host a networking event for DMers who are in between jobs and conducting employment searches.
On Monday, Sept. 14, the Association will open its Seminar Center for unemployed marketers within the tri-state area. The gathering will feature Paula Marks, managing director at executive recruitment firm Gilbert Tweed International, who will share tips and insight into the current employment market.
Marks will also discuss facts and myths about successful resumes and the interview process.
There is no cost to participate, but pre-registration is required. The Seminar Center holds roughly 80 people. Walk-ins will not be permitted.
Registrants should bring βan open mind, optimism and calling cards β their resume, if they like, for possible critiques or to share with other attendees for comments,β said DMA senior VP of communications and public and media relations Sue R. E. Geramian.
The event is both level- and occupation-agnostic (within direct marketing functions). Geramian said it would be appropriate for all levels and fields of expertise. To register for this event, click here: http://www.the-dma.org/cgi/eventregistration?mtgcode=DCC0110
