United Parcel Service has announced the promotions of David Abney to CEO and Alan Gershenhorn to president of UPS International. Abney will be responsible for international operations, U.S. package operations, global transportation, labor and all freight work. Gershenhorn's new position makes him a member of the UPS management committee.
