Bookings, Revenue, Income Up for Expedia

The online travel company reported $20.1 million in net income, a turnaround from the $4.8 million net loss it had a year ago.

In remarks accompanying the results, Richard N. Barton, president and CEO of the Bellevue, WA-based firm cited a tripling in the company’s non-US business as well as its merchant business, which includes package deals, as reasons for its growth.
