The division of Blockbuster Video based in England has chosen MicroStrategy Inc. to provide analytic and marketing functions focused on its customer base.
Blockbuster will use a combination of McLean, VA-based MicroStrategy’s Customer Analyzer customer relationship management applications and Transactor, the company’s marketing campaign analysis software.
"Understanding the value of customers is a key component of success in any business today," said Kevin Kerrigan, IT project manager of Blockbuster UK.
Kerrigan continued, "…We will benefit from improved communication with our customers, and will be able to more effectively manage the entire customer interaction process."
Blockbuster UK consists of more than 750 movie videocassette and game rental stores in the United Kingdom.
