Blair Corp., Warren, PA, will reincorporate Scandia Woods, its men’s casual apparel brand, into its Blair Menswear catalog. Blair had been positioning Scandia Woods as a line extension, and had been evaluating a new catalog line. The re-assimilation should be complete by Spring 2002.
"While this specialty book successfully generated activity and revenue from our target market, the investment required for its long-term growth can be better allocated to other marketing and operational priorities at the present time," said John Zawacki, Blair’s president and CEO, in a statement.
Blair said that it would focus on marketing opportunities that have the greatest potential for attracting a younger customer segment with a higher level of discretionary income.
