Best Buy China Selects Jingwei International for Direct Marketing

Best Buy Co. is embarking on a new program to expand its consumer electronics division in China through direct mail and mobile marketing campaigns.

Best Buy Co. is embarking on a new program to expand its consumer electronics division in China through direct mail and mobile marketing campaigns.

Jingwei International Ltd., based in Shenzhen, China, has signed a contract with Best Buy China to provide agency services for multichannel direct marketing.

The agency will be responsible for creating, managing and executing a new direct marketing program. An initial campaign targeting consumers in Shanghai is slated for roll out nationwide.

Jingwei plans to develop outbound mobile marketing campaigns for Best Buy China supported by call centers located throughout the country, for handling customer service and fulfillment.

“This contract validates the investment we made in advanced technology and executive resources over the last year, said in a statement Jingwei’s CEO Regis Kwong. This agreement is expected to add significant revenues to the company.”

Kwong described the account with Best Buy as a milestone in the agency's efforts to secure accounts with multinational clients seeking to expand in China.

Jingwei has developed a marketing database comprised of 300 million Chinese consumers, with the capacity for offering data enhancements and segmentation, analysis, billing and other software services.
