Bass Pro Shops, an outdoor merchandise retailer, increased its cross-sales revenue by 50% when it personalized its recommended products. The company attributes its sales jump to analytic offerings from Coremetrics.
“We knew visitors were not being offered the most relevant products and we knew we were missing the opportunity to increase revenue,” David Seifer, director of operations and direct marketing for the Springfield, MO-based retailer and marketer said in a statement.
Coremetrics used a combination of transaction data and site navigation history to place the most relevant products in front of Web site visitors. The resulting increase represented nearly 30% of all site sales.
