AutobyTel Inc. has appointed Michael Schmidt to serve as its executive vice president and chief financial officer. Schmidt has been with the Irvine, CA-based automobile direct marketer since April 2004, when he joined as senior vice president of finance.

Autobytel Inc. has appointed Michael Schmidt to serve as its executive vice president and chief financial officer. Schmidt has been with the Irvine, CA-based automobile direct marketer since April 2004, when he joined as senior vice president of finance.
During his tenure he integrated Car.com into Autobytel’s operations and implemented its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program, among other responsibilities.
Before joining Autobytel, Schmidt was CFO and executive vice president of Telephia Inc., which provides information to the mobile telecommunications industry.
