Argan Inc. will acquire Vitamin Research Products Inc., a nutraceutical products manufacturer and marketer based in Carson City, NV. Terms were not disclosed.
“Vitamin Research Products is a well-respected name in the nutraceutical industry with an established customer base in the direct mail and physician referral distribution channels,” said Ranier Bosselman,, Aragon’s chairman and CEO, in a statement.
He continued, “The transaction will also give us a West coast presence, positioning us to expand in a nutraceutical industry that is characterized by rapid growth, fragmentation and opportunities for innovation and consolidation.”
Robert Watson, Vitamin Research Products’ president and CEO, and the company’s management team are expected to remain with Argan.
