Aegis Media to Acquire Communicate 2

Aegis Media, an advertising agency, plans to acquire Communicate 2, an Indian search engine marketing firm.

Terms were not disclosed.

At the same time, Ashish Bhasin, executive vice-president with Lowe Worldwide, has left that firm to join Aegis as chairman India and CEO, South East Asia.

Aegis said this deal will enable it to add search into the offerings from its media planning arm Carat in India. The purchase will also help it launch Isobar as its digital marketing entity in the country.
