Acxiom Gains Access to Echelon's Scoring Data

Consumer scoring data from Echelon Targeting's Discretionary Spending Index (DSI) has become available with InfoBase line database products offered by Acxiom Corp. Echelon's DSI data can be appended to customer and prospecting lists to identify and target consumers based on their potential interest and financial ability to purchase a particular product or service. Acxiom's InfoBase database contains addresses and demographics for more than 110 million households. The agreement between the two firms makes DIS data available through Acxiom for database marketing and developing statistical models for list segmentation. The index provides household scores ranging from 1 to 1,000 that rank consumer spending power. For example households with $125,000 and higher income incomes have a range of DSI scores from 645 to 1,000.
