Acxiom Boosts Second-Quarter Revenue to $241 million

Acxiom Corp. generated second-quarter revenue of $241 million—an increase over the $235 million posted during the same period in 2002. However, net earnings fell to $11 million, compared with $15 million last year. Company leader Charles D. Morgan said in a statement that the firm continued to be affected by “a less than robust economic environment.” The totals were in line with earlier estimates.

The Little Rock, AK-based information company generated new contracts worth $16 million and renewals worth $6 million in annual revenue.

The firm reported revenue of $477,777 for the first six months, up from $460 million during the first half of 2002. Net income fell from $25 million to $22 million.
