Urban Outfitters Inc. has chosen Merkle to provide a variety of database marketing services.
Under the contract, the apparel marketer will bring Merkle’s strategy, analytics, data-driven insight and a comprehensive custom-built database infrastructure to the company’s Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Free Peoples brands. The database will support a variety of multi-channel marketing programs.
“In selecting Merkle, we are taking a new approach to consistently promote each of our brands to customers in a unique way, while also gaining critical intelligence regarding consumer buying behavior across a complex array of channels and marketing programs,” Calvin Hollinger, chief information officer for Urban Outfitters, said in a statement.
