(Direct Listline) Specialists Marketing Services Inc. (SMS) has acquired the list management and brokerage firm NRL Direct Inc. for undisclosed terms.
NRL will be merged into Specialists and employees of North Brunswick, NJ-based NRL will be transferred to SMS' headquarters in Weehawken, NJ.
The acquisition significantly expands SMS' presence in the catalog and publishing markets, as NRL has more than 40 list brokerage and management clients. Look also for SMS to release about 30 data cards for new e-mail lists and introduce new list modeling services.
NRL's clients include Aspen Publishers, CCH, Comfort Corner, Disc Makers, Drs. Foster and Smith, Fabulous Furs, Frontgate, Herrington, Improvements, Jamesco Manufacturing, Johnston and Murphy, Lifeline Screen and the Weider History Group.
