NCDM Focuses on Integration

DEVELOPING AN INTEGRATED customer experience across multiple marketing channels is the theme of this year's National Center for Database Marketing conference.

DEVELOPING AN INTEGRATED customer experience across multiple marketing channels is the theme of this year's National Center for Database Marketing conference.

The event — co-sponsored by Direct magazine and the Direct Marketing Association — is set for Monday, Dec. 11 to Wednesday, Dec. 13 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, FL.

“To build enduring, profitable customer relationships, marketers need to obtain the right data and apply it in the most effective way,” says group show director Angela Eastin. “Our primary focus with NCDM 2006 is to present the most relevant and practical ideas to help attendees optimize their current business processes.”

Three keynote presentations will highlight the conference. On Monday, Bassel Ojai and Nick Bespeaks of Yahoo! will present “Fusing the Gap: Delivering the Value Your Customers Want.” Kent Oldham of Procter & Gamble will give a talk entitled “Learning From Every Consumer Touch Point” on Tuesday, and Black Monk Consulting's Ryan Mathews will offer “Changing Times — Using Market Insights and Technology to Grow Your Business” Wednesday.

Two new features should enhance attendees' trip to NCDM. “Technology Jungle Tours” will be conducted throughout the exhibit hall to help marketers navigate various new technologies' sometimes rough terrain. And a “Lay of the Land” orientation/breakfast meeting will be held Monday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 a.m. to assist visitors in understanding which sessions are best suited to their needs.

The conference will begin with a day of three-hour intensives on topics like Web analytics, business intelligence, marketing ROI and the customer experience. More than 70 sessions will be offered this year in five new tracks: Analytics and Marketing Measurements, Campaign Management Solutions, Data 360, Marketing Management, and Tools and Technology.

The NCDM Database Excellence Awards will be presented on Tuesday, Dec. 12 during a luncheon ceremony hosted by Direct magazine writer and Loose Cannon columnist Richard H. Levey.
