The viral component focuses on an online instant-win game at HotelGiveAway.com that can be forwarded to friends.

The viral component focuses on an online instant-win game at HotelGiveAway.com that can be forwarded to friends. People can play once by opting in with an e-mail address to receive the Hotels.com newsletter. When they recommend a buddy, they get another chance to win a prize.

Players can choose from games that offer one of four instant-win prizes: a trip to the Swiss Alps or Paris, a spa vacation on the island of Tenerife or shopping in Milan, Italy. Four prizes in each category will be awarded.

In addition, each play gets an entry into a chance at the runner-up prize of Hotels.com vouchers.

Banner ads support the campaign, which runs through Christmas.
