Tricia Robinson Resigns from Full Time at Global

Tricia Robinson, senior vice president of marketing at Premiere Global Services, has resigned, and she swears it was voluntary.

The e-mail marketing industry is about to lose another one of its long-time, high-profile executives.

Tricia Robinson, senior vice president of marketing at Premiere Global Services, has resigned, and she swears it was voluntary.

“The two questions I’ve been answering since I made this announcement are: Yes, it’s voluntary and no, I’m not pregnant,” she said.

Robinson co-founded e-mail marketing software provider Socketware in 1997 with four others, including her husband CEO Michael Pridemore. She was chief marketing officer.

They changed the company name to Accucast last October, the name of the company’s software.

They sold Accucast to business communications outsourcer Premiere Global Services in February for an undisclosed sum.

Robinson plans to work for Premiere Global until the end of the month and then do some independent contract work for the company.

When asked what her plans are, Robinson said: “I don’t have any.” To which we say: Must be nice.

Robinson is smart, vocal, opinionated and a big fan of the television show South Park, all of which means we’ll miss her greatly.

Robinson’s announcement closely follows the firing of Al DiGuido—another high-profile e-mail marketing executive—from Epsilon Interactive.
