MailChimp, a do-it-yourself e-mail service provider aimed at small businesses, has developed a feature enabling its customers to do automatic A/B split tests.
The new feature allows MailChimp customers to A/B split test “from” lines, “subject” lines and time sent.
According to the company, the feature allows senders to choose the percentages of their list that get the two tests, monitors opens and clicks, and then automatically rolls out the winner to the rest of the file.
“Think of MailChimp’s E-mail Optimizer for A/B split testing similar to Google’s Web site Optimizer, but for e-mail campaigns,” said MailChimp co-founder Ben Chestnut.
