Despite downward pressure on pricing resulting from industry consolidation, the market for e-mail marketing platforms and services in the UK will have grown 20% by the end of 2006 over 2005, from $274 million to $329 million, according to London-based E-consultancy.
According to previous E-consultancy estimates, the UK e-mail market was worth $222 million in 2004, meaning there has been a 50% growth in that market in two years, the company reported.
“E-mail service providers are reaping the benefits because more organizations understand the financial and brand-building benefits of doing e-mail properly,” said E-consultancy analyst Linus Gregoriadis.
Added analyst Chris Lake: “There is plenty of demand for value-added services, such as customer segmentation and behavioral-response marketing, our research has found.”
