The Yankee Candle Company Inc. has completed its previously announced merger with Madison Dearborn Partners LLC, a private equity firm.
Under the terms of the merger, Yankee Candle stockholders received $34.75 per share in cash. The transaction was valued at $1.6 billion.
As of the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 7, Yankee's common stock will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.
