Everybody likes to freshen up with a new look in spring, and the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing is no exception.

This year CADM is rebranding its long-running Chicago DM Days as the Integrated Marketing Expo. Slated for April 29 and 30 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers, IMX08 is a concerted effort to attract a new audience.

“We've talked about repositioning the event for years,” says Mike Becker, Mackay Mitchell Envelope's vice president for national sales and CADM president. “The problem has been that people in disciplines like interactive marketing and analytics don't necessarily think of what they do as ‘direct marketing.’ We need to bridge the gap to these audiences and make them realize the show isn't driven by just mail and teleservices.”

The keynote speakers will be Mark Mitten, senior vice president of marketing and legacy at Chicago 2016, the organization behind the city's bid to host the Summer Olympics in 2016; and Yankelovich president J. Walker Smith.

IMX08 will feature a DM basics course, as well as tracks covering B-to-B, interactive, database, creative, integrated marketing and CRM. Scheduled presenters include Diamond Marketing Solutions, the U.S. Postal Service, Leapfrog Online, and RSCG Chicago.
