MEMBERSHIP

Fifty-four corporate members with 227 individual participants, including mailers, fulfillment companies, vendors and printers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Its focus differs from the Direct Marketing Association's in that the DMA encompasses all aspects of direct marketing while MFSANY concentrates on getting the physical pieces into the mail stream. “I like to say that they dream it up and we get it out,” says MFSANY co-director Jim Prendergast.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN

A major benefit is the chance to network at events and on online message boards. “Members lean on each other and get local and national support. They share ideas, and even business sometimes, if a job is too big for one member to handle,” Prendergast says.

EVENTS

Dinner and breakfast meetings with educational programs are held almost every other month. This year's annual meeting and awards ceremony is slated for June 10 aboard a charter yacht in New York. The group also holds a joint summer golf outing with the Direct Marketing Club of New York and the Hudson Valley Direct Marketing Association.
