CVS Corp., the pharmacy chain, has acquired Caremark Rx Inc., for about $21 billion in stock.
The new company, CVS/Caremark Corp., will be headquartered in Woonsocket, RI. Its services include seven mail order pharmacies, and nine call centers. The combined pharmacy benefits management specialty pharmacy, and disease management businesses will operate out of Nashville, TN.
