Acxiom Corp. boosted its revenue by 8.5% to $336.7 million
during its first quarter.
In addition, the information services firm reported net earnings of $17.8 million, a 168% increase over the same period last year.
Contributing to this performance was a 9.8% increase in the company’s services revenue. Gross margin in the services area rose to 25.1%, compared with 18.% for the same quarter last year.
Computer and related expenses fell to 21.7% as a percentage of revenue, compared with 25% during the prior year.
Company leader Charles D. Morgan said in a statement that the Little Rock, AR-based firm has “considerable opportunity to improve operating performance and deliver additional growth through execution of our long-term strategies.”
