E-mail deliverability consultancy Pivotal Veracity today announced it has added to its eDesign Optimizer rendering tool the capability for clients to see how their messages will look when viewed using the Firefox Internet browser.
Firefox is the No. 2 browser behind Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Estimates vary widely as to its market share, but most sources peg it around 20%.
Launched earlier this year, eDesign Optimizer allows e-mail marketers to see how their messages will look on most e-mail inbox services when viewed on desktop and laptop computers and mobile devices, according to Pivotal Veracity. Besides showing how e-mail messages appear on the various devices, eDesign Optimizer will also validate the message’s links and images, tell the sender if their links and images are loading too slowly, and if their messages are larger than 20 kb, which will affect its ability to load on a mobile device, the company claims.
With the addition of Firefox, e-mail marketers can now see how their messages will look when recipients access Web-based inboxes, such as Gmail and Yahoo, using the Firefox browser.
“Our clients take the branding and performance of their emails seriously and, today, with the growing popularity of Firefox, no serious email rendering solution can afford to be without it,” said Michelle Eichner, Pivotal Veracity’s vice president of client services, in a statement.
