Today we meet Becky Hagadorn, senior account executive at Catamount Group, which was acquired by online marketing services provider EWay Direct in March, 2009.
An eight-year veteran of the company, she’s seen Catamount evolve from a traditional list brokerage and management house to a multichannel agency.
"Probably most of our acquisition efforts for our clients are online now,” she says, noting that Catamount also offers online display, co-registration and of course, postal direct mail.
Even before the acquisition, Catamount had been headed this way for at least five years, she says.
"We were listening to our clients and their needs were changing based on internal and external factors,” she says, adding that many of them began using e-mail and online marketing, partly because they were quicker and cheaper than direct mail.
With an eye to the future, parent company EWay Direct is using social media to help create niche sites for some clients as a retention tool, she says.
Despite the bad economic times many in the industry have been experiencing in the past couple of years, Hagadorn says “I know our company is having a very successful year.”
When not working, she takes care of her three- and five-year-old boys at her home in New Milford, CT.
"That doesn’t leave me time for anything else,” she says.
