Kansas City Companies Co-Sponsor NASCAR Race

Less-than-truckload carrier Yellow Transportation and Sprint Communications have announced a co-sponsorship of a NASCAR Busch Series race at Kansas Speedway on behalf of the Greater Kansas City United Ways.

The Oct. 8 race will be known as “United Way 300 Presented by Yellow Transportation and Sprint.” The two Kansas City-area companies said the goal of their partnership is to raise the visibility and level of contributions to this fall’s community-wide fund-raising campaign for the Kansas City area charity.

Yellow Transportation will further enhance the branding effort by converting its No. 1 Yellow Transportation car into a special United Way- themed car for the October race.

William A. Zollars, president & CEO of Yellow Transportation parent company Yellow Roadway Corp., is the volunteer co-chair of the Kansas City Area United Way campaign.
