James P. Treuting will join Dukky as CEO. He replaces founder and former CEO Shawn Burst.
“I moved into the role of executive VP of sales and marketing simply because that's what I am good at,” Burst told Direct Newsline.
In 1992, Treuting started Communique, a New Orleans-based Internet service provider (ISP), which was later acquired by Verio, an international ISP and hosting company.
He was part of an executive team that took Verio public and finally sold the company to Nippon Telephone & Telegraph in 2000. Treuting previously held positions at IBM and The Planet, a dedicated hosting company.
