Dubbed Da Day for the "Day After," the QSR says the Monday following the Super Bowl should be a holiday so consumers can recover from a day of eating, drinking and lots of football. A recent survey found that 1.4 million U.S. adults call in sick the day after the Big Game.

Consumers who sign the petition can opt to receive e-mails from White Castle. The Web site also includes a list of 10 "excuses" consumers can give their bosses to call out sick. Some of the excuses include, "I've got a 360-degree fever"; "The bartender won't let me leave" and "My wife/husband grounded me." As of mid-day Tuesday, just over 3,400 people signed the petition, according to the Web site.

"We want to help NAP succeed," said Kim Bartley, White Castle spokesperson, in a statement. "So, we developed a Da Day Manifesto for all to sign and posted it on a special Da Day Web site."
