Tim Ellis has been named vice president of marketing for Volkswagen of America.
Ellis will direct all aspects of Volkswagen brand marketing in the U.S. Ellis joins Volkswagen from Volvo Car Corp., where he was global director of advertising, media and sales promotion.
His prior experience includes management of several global brands, including Major League Baseball, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Virgin Express Airlines and Ericsson cellular components and services.
He will report directly to Volkswagen of America CEO Stefan Jacoby.
