CADM Gives Volunteer Award To Agency Colman Brohan Davis

Marketing firm Colman Brohan Davis will receive the 17th Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM) Natalie P. Holmes Volunteer of the Year Award.

Marketing firm Colman Brohan Davis will receive the 17th Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM) Natalie P. Holmes Volunteer of the Year Award.

In the history of the Holmes Award, fifteen have gone to individuals. The current award marks the first time in eight years since another agency, DraftWorldwide (now Draftfcb), was the recipient.

The Natalie P. Holmes Volunteer of the Year award is chosen by CADM’s current president in honor of the association’s former executive director, who retired in 1992 after 20 years’ service and died in January 2009.

The award is presented for: a high level of personal dedication to furthering the goals of CADM and its members; a track record of continuous years of contribution; a high standard of professionalism; enhancement of the association’s services and assistance in developing or implementing programs.

In lauding Colman Brohan Davis as this year’s recipient, CADM president Scott Reeves cited the agency’s spirit of volunteerism, “beginning with CBD principals Lori Colman and Liz Brohan.” Reeves added “the entire agency staff are professionals who not only can be counted on for strategic thinking, but also creative and thorough implementation, as well. What’s more, they’ve never turned us down and never complained about constraints that inevitably emerge during the course of a project.

“The list of their contributions is long, but I think it’s important to stress the range by pointing to their role in revitalizing the Tempo Awards, a nearly-40-year-old CADM program, and creating the Emerging Leaders Awards, which was launched in April with great success and significance for the future of CADM…Many CBD staff members have participated in judging Tempo Awards for years and now they are involved in brainstorming activity that will help revitalize the Financial Services Special Interest Group.”

Founded in 1988, CBD currently employs more than 20 professionals. The company offers online and offline marketing services to a mix of business-to-business and consumer-focused clients.

Colman Brohan Davis will receive its award during the association’s annual business and volunteer meeting on August 12.
