Rodney Mason

Rodney Mason, formerly general manager of Zip's Chicago office, joined Hawkeye/FFWD as chief marketing officer and managing director. He'll work from Hawkeye's Dallas office; his mandate is to raise visibility for the $80 million shop.

New York City-based Hawkeye has bought up several marketing service shops in the U.S. and U.K. in recent years, including The Marketing Continuum, Dallas, and FFWD, London. Hawkeye/FFWD plans to name a global creative director with U.K. ad experience. Clients include ALLTEL, Pizza Hut, Bank of America, Sun Microsystems, Charles Schwab and Party City.

Mason opened St. Louis-based Zip's Chicago office in 1999, overseeing work for Coca-Cola and Motorola.

Separately, Stephanie Brown and Laura Ryder left Zipatoni Interactive, St. Louis, to form Blue Torch Interactive, also St. Louis, offering online games, sweepstakes and wireless promotions.
