Users can sign up for a free account at http://zaptxt.com/home, which will allow then to create custom searches to track RSS-enabled sites for specific keywords. ZapTXT then continually monitors the Web sites and RSS feeds specified by the user and sends an alert (via e-mail, IM, SMS text message, or special RSS feed) when that keyword is published in a headline. The Mountain View, CA-based company also offers a free widget enabling online publishers and bloggers to alert readers whenever their Web site is updated, or whenever a new headline or comment that includes certain keywords is added.
