Good On the Go. The Red Cross Society of China has created a mobile site to help get out information on relief efforts for the May 2008 Sichuan earthquake. China currently has more than 600 mobile users, compared to only 100 million PC-based Internet users. Mobile commerce capabilities are planned for the site, which was created in collaboration with dotMobi.
Animated Acquisition. Men's lifestyle destination CraveOnline.com has acquired MyAnimeList, an anime and manga social networking site. Founded in 2006, MyAnimeList gives users a way to catalog their anime or manga collection. The site has over 4.4 million anime and 775,000 manga user based entries.
New Style. Women's Wear Daily has relaunched its subscription-only Web site WWD.com. The site—which now features runway videos, a new blog section and digital tear sheets of articles and images— is offering free access to nonsubscribers this week.
